Raman investigation of the effects of torsion on fused silica optical fibers

The application of reversible tensile stress to a pure fused silica optical fiber produces a significant modification of the Raman spectrum. The changes in Raman spectra are studied for fused silia optical fibers for applied reversible torsion. (AIP)
