This paper presents a mobile QoS testbed that consists of 36 radio access network and Diffserv-based core network, and discusses QoS-aware multimedia streaming applications over the testbed. The 36 radio access network is equipped with a W-CDMA packet channel emulator and IP/UDP/RTP header compression nodes. In streaming applications, our server changes TOS field of each packet according to its importance referred to hint tracks in MP4 files, and then delivers packet with different priorities over the Diffserv network. We report experiment results of multimedia streaming with the testbed, and show its usability.
