THE ROYAL CANADIAN Air Force's 433 Tactical Fighter Squadron has painted CF-188B 188933 with a high-visibility tail. At the top of the tail is the squadron motto 'QUI S'Y FROTTE S'Y PIQUE' (who opposes it gets hurt) and below it is a cartoon of the unit mascot, a porcupine swordsman brandishing a foil. The squadron's mascot, the porcupine, is derived from the district of Porcupine, Ontario where the city of Timmins is located - this was 433 Squadron's sponsor city in WW2. Along with the squadron's battle honors inscribed on the inside of both tails, a CF-5 planform and Lancaster, Halifax and CF-100 profile line drawings adorn the inside of each tail fin. The 433 Squadron heraldic badge appears on the lower left fuselage along with the inscription Ville de Timmins, Ontario.
