AbstractThe role of excess neutralizing agents on the mechanical properties of three‐arm star polyisobutylene‐based model ionomers is discussed. The stress level, particularly at high elongations, is significantly affected by the presence of excess neutralizing agents, and these effects are observed with different cations such as potassium, calcium, and zinc.
