AbstractBetween 1976 and 1980 the Pascal Project at UCSD produced a ‘nearly portable’ operating system based on Pascal. Under the auspices of a graduate student project at UCSD, the UCSD Pascal system was ported to run in the 32‐bit address environment of the VAX 11/780 under VMS and UNIXUNIX is a trademark of Bell Laboratories.
