Skin disorders or dermatoses among animals are of considerable importance due to pathogenic, economic, aesthetic and systemic effects (Blood and Radostitis, 1989). Efficacy of Himax (Tiwari et al., 1998) and Charmil has earlier been reported in a wide range of skin diseases and wounds, surgical and non-surgical (Gahlot et al., 1995; Pradhan 1995; Rajaraman and Appaji Rao, 1995) as well as mange in bovines (Singh and Gill 1993; Latasana et al., 1997) and dogs (Das, 1996; Latasana et al., 1997) etc. In present study a comparative evaluation of Himax an Charmil skin gel against skin disorders in cattle, pig and rabbit over a period of 4 years is being reported.
