Isolates ofPseudomonas syringaevan Hall 1902, capable of growth in media containing 1000 #x3BC;g/g streptomycin sulphate, were obtained from lesions in fruit and from leaf surfaces of apricots from orchards where streptomycin had been applied. Many of the isolates were demonstrated to be pathogenic when inoculated on to peach.
