AkzoNobel—Werner Fuhrmann, who retired from the company at the beginning of this year, has decided to return as head of Specialty Chemicals (PCN, 12 Sept 2016, p 2). He replaces Thierry Vanlancker, who became chief executive earlier this month (PCN, 24 July 2017, p 2). Ruud Joosten has been named chief operating officer of Paints Coatings to lead the Performance Coatings and Decorative Paints businesses. He was head of Decorative Paints.
