Resonator fiber-optic gyros (R-FOGs) are expected as next generation FOGs in place of because of their high sensitivity. However, R-FOGs have an essential problem that the output becomes unstable by the polarization fluctuation. To achieve a high performance, we have proposed a configuration with a fiber ring-resonator including both two 90° polarization-axis rotations and two couplers. In this paper, we built the precise simulation model of this configuration, and it is shown that this can achieve accuracy sufficient to aircraft-navigation requirements by adjusting the resonator parameters.
