The US International Trade Commission on 10 March voted unanimously to extend existing countervailing and antidumping duties placed on certain aluminium extrusions from China. These penalties were first applied in 2011. Domestic extrusion capacity, production and employment have continued to increase since the orders have been put in place, the Aluminum Extruders Council (AEC), which filed the original petition for duties in 2010, said.
