Simultaneous measurements of current and magnetic field in laserhyphen;produced plasmas

The current I and the magnetic fieldBgenerated during the interaction of focused laser pulses (10.6 mgr;m, 4 J, 1.7 ns or 1.06 mgr;m, 4 J, 20 ns) on a copper target were measured simultaneously as a function of the background pressure in air, N2, He,Ar, and CO2, the results show thatIandBare connected, and in addition provide experimental evidence for the diffusion of the magnetic field in laserhyphen;produced plasmas.
