AbstractNew theoretical and computational tools are presented which deal with generalized symmetry concepts related to the computer‐aided design of cascaded structures. The presentation includes the computational implications of networks consisting of symmetrically located reverse adjoint subnetworks with and without scaling, as well as antisymmetry.
