Bactrodesmium obliquumn. sp. is described and illustrated from material on bark ofPicea glauca(Moench) Voss collected in Manitoba and Saskatchewan. The species is characterized by punctiform, shining sporodochia and balastic, broadly oval, versicolored, 4-septate, dark-banded conidia, the apical and basal cells of which become obliquely or longitudinally septate. It is compared and contrasted with related species.
