Recently I had my hand in helping with an article that will appear in Rocks and Minerals magazine on the Bush Farm (Robinson, Chamberlain, and Walter, In Press) and its impressive brown tourmalines. Once called dravites, then uvites, and now the new I.M.A. nomenclature on toumalines makes their proper identification fluor-uvite (Lupulescu and Hawkins, 2013). These fine crystals of fluor-uvite have been collected for a minimum of 150 years and coveted by collectors interested in classic east coast minerals nearly as long. The Rocks and Minerals article will do a fine job describing the elaborate history of the location, its geology, and showing the minerals found there.
