Product testing is a job ready-made for a robot: Robots are programmed to load and operate dishwashers

When it comes to relieving humans of extremely tedious and repetitive tasks, automation has a big role to play, and nothing is more repetitive than product testing. Daily tasks such as loading and unloading a dishwasher are chores at the best of times, but having to do it over and over to test the durability of a product is a job ready-made for a robot. That's why scientists from Fraunhofer IPA in Stuttgart have programmed machines from Universal Robots to step in.
