To realize a 1kW class high-average power solid-state laser driver (HALNA 100, 100J at 10Hz) for the inertial fusion energy, thermally compensated Faraday rotator and Faraday isolator should be used. Thermally induced birefringence in Faraday rotators under laser-light loading has been measured. Detailed experimental results will be presented, which will be useful when designing the thermally compensated Faraday rotator and Faraday isolator.
