Two 2.5-MW twin horizontal Francis turbine units at the Twin Falls project near Manitouwadge, Ontario, Canada, experienced severe shaft vibration problems as soon as they were installed in January 2000. Rapid-Eau Technologies' engineers have applied for a patent on the system.
