Polarization current model method (PCMM) is one of the volume integral equation, and is appliecable to electromagnetic scattering by dielectric bodies and to analysis of antennas including dielectric materials. This method requires the amount of unknowns to be solved proportioned to the number of dielectric divisions and hence longer computational time. This report proposes Mode Expansion PCMM(M-PCMM), in which the polarization current is expressed in terms of spherical wave functions commonly inside the dielectric. The unkowns then are their coefficients, whose number is as small as in the mode expansion method. M-PCMM is applied to the scattering by a dielectric cube and the results for both the interior and far fields are in excellent agreement with those by PCMM, and that M-PCMM saves substantially the computational time.
