Srivastava has priority overPseudoexpressipollisKrutzsch.The genusTricolporitesCookson has been considered here as a valid monotypic genus because it meets the requirements stipulated by the International Code of Botanical Nomenclature.The acceptable spelling and taxonomic position of the genusCarpinipitesS. K. Srivastava have been discussed.
