AbstractThe development of a block‐digital oscillator when the oscillating frequencyfois very low with respect to the sampling frequencyfsis outlined. Explicit relations for the sensitivity to coefficient quantization, for scaling and for mean‐squared round‐off error analysis are derived. the principal conclusion is that both the sensitivity and the mean‐squared round‐off error remain constant and do not depend on the rationfs/fo.
