A new genus of Symphypleona (Collembola) from West Africa

Abstract.Songhaica nigerianagen. et sp.n. is described from tropical rain forest in Nieria.Sminthurus styliferMurphy from wooded Savanna and cultivated soils in Gambia also belongs in this new genus.
