The Spanish association did an excellent job of putting together an extensive cultural and entertainment programme packed with events, so the business flowed seamlessly into pleasure and back. Particular thanks should go to Jose Blanco and Silvia Castel, whose efficient work made the guests' stay in Valencia both productive and exciting. The conference welcomed some 40 delegates representing 14 countries. The core of the international association consists of European members, but the meeting also saw delegates from the USA, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong and Russia. Among the attendees were contractors, tool and machinery suppliers and representatives from national associations. There were also eight manufacturers present who all helped to sponsor the event.
