Chris Johnson is manufacturing and technical director of Wedgwood's pottery factory in Stoke on Trent. He has been the driving force behind a progressive programme of automation at the company and as part of this improvement process, the company continues to invest in technology that is moving operations out of the craft environment and into the world of engineered products.
