Laura Ashley, best known for twee floral-print frocks, is now a worldwide chain of stores, with a growing number inside Homebase DIY stores, to cater for the aspiring interior designer. As with many such companies, its growth has been accompanied by a strengthening of its corporate image. Laura Ashley shops the world over all have the same look and feel. This type of interior design is ideally suited to the extensive use of CAD, as standard components can be reused on several projects, greatly reducing design lead times and maintaining design consistency.
