An Assessment of the Spatial Variation in the Chemical Composition of Bulk Precipitation Within an Upland Catchment

Bulk precipitation was collected weekly for chemical analysis over a period of 64 weeks at six sites within the headwater catchments of the Upper Wye in mid‐Wales, United Kingdom. Results indicate that for these catchments, which are remote and uninhabited, the aspect and elevation of the collectors have no detectable effect on solute concentrations measured in the bulk precipitation.
