The process and the system that controls it are the real problemsfacing business today, not the people who work within the limits setfor them by management. Employees must work within the process andmanagement must work on the process. The improvement efforts andtheir support- ing systems must be directed at the process and not atthe individual. This means that all function must work together tooptimize the efficiency, effectiveness, and adaptability of the totalprocess.
