摘要

We describe ultrahigh Vacuum studies of a perfluoropolyether analog, perfluorodiethoxymethane (PFDEM), interacting with a partially fluorinated nickel surface. Results of temperature-programmed desorption studies show that PFDEM does not undergo C-F bond cleavage and subsequent formation of nickel-fluorine bonds. The use of a defect-rich surface has no effect on the results. References: 65
