Carrier Phase Estimation and Phase Jitter Compensation for Data Modems

摘要

This review covers some aspects of communicating digital signals from one place to another. Some basics of digital signalling and the effect of phase distortion introduced by the medium is considered. Optimum and/or suboptimum receivers for digitally modulated and phase corrupted carrier have been studied. A review of phase locked loop and carrier recovery techniques for optimal demodulation has been presented. Performance analysis of digital modulation schemes has been attempted.
