Specific heat and electric resistivity of molybdenum have been measured with a contact thermometry variant of millisecond-resolution pulse calorimetry. Application of W/Re thermocouple thermometry allowed study from 400 to 2500 K. Above 1300 K thermocouple thermo-metry was supplemented with parallel pyrometric measurements. In this temperature range, emissivity data were obtained. The results obtained for the electric resistivity, specific heat, hemispheric total emissivity, and normal spectral emissivity of molybdenum are presented and discussed. Specific heat is compared with existing standard reference data.
