AbstractSeventeen derivatives of 1‐amino‐1‐methylethylphosphonic acid were synthesised and evaluated for plant‐growth‐regulating activity usingCucumis sativusandTriticum aestivum. The tested compounds exerted either moderate herbicidal action or stimulated plant growth.
