摘要

A sediment core from Lake Dammsj#xF6;n in a previous mining and smeltering area at Nyberget, Central Sweden, was investigated for heavy metal pollution. Successive extraction and dissolution kinetics techniques were used. Environmental events in the area were assessed by means of pollen analysis and distribution of charcoal dust in the sediment.
