Parallel processing in fortran with floating‐point hardware

AbstractWith some types of floating‐point hardware, the central processor is free to perform other tasks while a floating‐point operation completes. The FORTRAN complier for the SEL‐840MP computer was modified to execute subscripting calculations in parallel with floating‐point operations where possible.
