London—OPEC crude output in May rose 270,000 b/d to 32.12 million b/d, according to an SP Global Platts survey, driven by sharp output recoveries in Libya and Nigeria, both of which are exempt from the organization’s production cuts, and hit multi-month highs. May production rose despite very high compliance with last year’s agreement by both Saudi Arabia and Angola. Iraqi output also rose sharply, alongside that from Libya and Nigeria.
