A new version of the semiempirical theory proposed by the author, which describes how the dielectric properties of individual solvents affect the shift of the optical spectra of molecules during the vapor-solution phase transition, is used to analyze a mass of experimental data obtained earlier on the temperature dependences of the position of the electronic absorption and emission bands of the solutions of two well-known solvatochromic dyes (3- and 4-amino-substituted phthalimides) in several nonpolar and polar media. It is shown that the indicated theory makes it possible to give a complete quantitative interpretation of the photophysical phenomena of interest in the entire temperature interval investigated here (from 293 to 543 K).
