Parameter orthogonalization method in quantum parameter estimation problem

摘要

Parameter orthogonalization method in classical statistics is a well-established method, and it has been used when dealing with parameter estimation problems in the presence of nuisance parameters. In this paper, we study the parameter orthogonalization method in quantum-state estimation theory. We analyze several properties and compare them with the classical case. Examples in a qubit system, a quantum system of two-dimensional Hilbert space, are presented to illustrate our findings.
