Non‐uniform residual stress measurements by the hole drilling method

A recent paper by H L Pang and S R Pukas1touched on some important aspects of non‐uniform residual stress measurement by the hole drilling method. This note discusses three significant issues raised in that paper, and presents a dissenting viewpoint.
