Three species of nitidulid beetles from Ecuador and Costa Rica are described as new:Pocadius maquipucunensis, P. ephite, andP. ephiteandP. jelineki.These species were collected from puffball fungi of the genusLycoperdonor in flight-intercept traps located in high-altitude cloud forests.Pocadius dimidiatusJel#xED;nek 1977, previously known from Argentina, is reported from Tambopata Province, Peru. Specimens ofP. dimidiatuswere collected from fungi in the generaLycoperdonandGeasteror in flight-intercept traps located in lowland tropical rainforest.
