We have studied the effect of gamma-radiation on the photoluminescence of poly allyl diglycol carbonate solid-state nuclear track detector. Gamma-ray irradiations were done using ~(60)Co cell with doses from 10 KGy to 5715 KGy. It is found that gamma-radiation induces a sort of defect in the molecular structure of the material due to chain secessions, conjugation and cross-linking. These defects modify the photoluminescence of the sample. Photoluminescent radiations were recorded by fluorometry with UV excitation of wavelength 346 nm. Results show good correlation with the applied dose.
