Utility of Lateral Imaging in Rectosigmoid Bleeding

摘要

Technetium labeled red blood cells are used for imaging gastrointestinal bleeding. Images are commonly obtained in the anterior projection. The authors have found rectosigmoid accumulation may be overlooked if a lateral image is not obtained. The authors routinely recommend a lateral image in the final image series.
