摘要

The effect of different cellulosic growth substrates on the production of cellulolytic enzymes byTrichoderma reeseiwas investigated. It was observed that growth on Avicel, Solka Floc and wheat straw produced different pH/time profiles in cultures. Over a range of controlled pH it was demonstrated that the production of cellulolytic and xylanolytic activity byT. reeseiis dependent on culture pH and the type of growth substrate. The effect of pH on enzyme production varies with the nature of the growth substrate. Furthermore, it was shown that the optimum culture pH and growth substrate for the production of enzyme preparations for the extensive saccharification of cellulosic materials depends on the type of material to be saccharified.
