Psychosis in Parkinson's disease (PD) is not uncommon. In fact, it can occur in up to 60 of PD patients (Forsaa et al., 2010) and after depression is the second most encountered non-motor symptom in PD; dementia and anxiety are also commonly encountered (Lee Weintraub, 2012). Non-motor symptoms in PD contribute significantly to morbidity, carer distress and nursing placement. This article describes a case of psychosis in a patient with PD that was successfully diagnosed and managed in the community.
