Broadband characteristics analysis of semi-circle type bow-tie antennas with hole slots

For electromagnetic compatibility, antenna measurements of fast pulse transient electromagnetic phenomena and broadband frequencies due to noises and high frequency interferences are very important. We analyzed the characteristics of a semicircle type bow-tie antenna with various slots using the FDTD method. It was shown from the simulation results that the shape and the position of slot influenced greatly broadband characteristics of antenna. We confirmed that a semicircle type bow-tie antenna with a triangle slot was effective for broadband antenna.
