Evidence is presented in support of the earlier disposition ofEllisiellaSacc. as a synonym ofColletotrichumCda. Corrected nomenclature and synonymy is given for the fungus so far known under the nameEllisiella caudata(Peck) Sacc.Ellisiellina biciliataCamara is reduced to synonymy withDinemasporium gramineumLeacute;v.SamukutaSubram. amp; Ramakr. and its type speciesS. berkeleyiiSubram. amp; Ramakr. are treated as synonyms ofNeottiosporaDesm. andN. caricina(Desm.) Houml;hn. respectively.SakireetaSubram. amp; Ramakr. is reduced to synonymy withTiarosporellaHouml;hn., which is enlarged to include three species:T. paluclosa(Sacc. amp; Fiori) Houml;hn.,T. graminis(Piroz. amp; Shoem.) comb. nov., andT. madreeya(Subram. amp; Ramakr.) comb. nov. Emended generic descriptions are given forNeottiosporaandTiarosporella.
