A magnetoelectric (ME) NiPb(Zr_(0.52)Ti_(0.48))O _3 (PZT) bilayer has been prepared by the hydrothermal method. X-ray diffraction shows that there are no phases other than PZT in the film. The ferroelectric properties were tested under different voltages. The ME voltage coefficient measurements were carried out by applying both constant (HDC) and alternating (δH) magnetic fields parallel to the length direction of the film. It is shown that the film exhibits both good ferroelectric and magnetoelectric properties. The value of the ME coefficient increases linearly with increasing frequency but is irrespective of the applied DC bias field.
