Steady state laminar fluid flow through doublevascularconstrictions was studied numerically. A false transient model was proposed and used with a mesh transformation technique for the modelled doublevascularconstrictions. The numerical model was used to study the streamlines, velocity and vorticity distributions as the flow passes through double constrictions in avasculartube. For double vascular constrictions of spacing ratioS/D=1, 2, 3 and ∞ with a 50 diameter constriction, a Reynolds number range of 5 to 200 was studied.
