Mucorales isolated from pine root bark and wood

Thirty species of Mucorales were recovered in isolations of organisms associated withFomes annosusand other wood-rotting fungi in decay ofPinus taedaandP. elliottiivar.elliottiiroot bark and wood. Fifteen to 20 of the isolates from roots in advanced decay were Mucorales.Mortierellaspp. were most abundant; some of them are described.
