The results of winter space heating of the living areas of six houses in the Bonnyrigg Solar Village (three controls and three passive solar/low energy houses) are used in a linear regression model to relate indoor temperature elevation to auxiliary heating and solar gains. Methods of comparing results where different thermostat set-points were used are discussed and a method for presenting annual heating load estimates is explained. Some relationships between construction and heating load are presented.
