摘要

It won't come as big news to many that engineering managers aren't the fittest, healthiest or most diet conscious people in industry. But, argues Susan Aldridge, with a few diet modifications we can eat ourselves fitter and offer better performance. WILL YOU live to enjoy your well-earned pension? Do you have the energy to turn in a stellar performance at work? Or are stress, long hours, and a heavy workload forcing you into an unhealthy lifestyle that's already taking its toll? A recent study showed that only 19 per cent of IT professionals take the recommended 30 minutes, of exercise five times a week (compared to 63 per cent of the general population). The survey, covering nearly 2,000 employees across different sectors, found that only 14 per cent of people working in IT eat five daily helpings of fruit and vegetables and they drink the equivalent of ten cups of coffee (800mg of caffeine) daily.
