Glyphiumin western Canada and United States

The hysteriaceous genusGlyphium(Ascomycetes) is represented in western Canada and United States by two species. The inland species,G. corrugatum(Ell.) comb. nov. (equiv;Acrospermum corrugatumEll.), has ascospores which fragment in the ascus. The coastal species,G. elatum(Grev. ex Fr.) Zogg, has ascospores which remain intact.
