G Bartlett Who pays? I assume that the politicians are not offering to pay for all of this out of their own salaries ... Simon Oilier Do we not have the technology to harness all of the hot air that is produced in these debating chambers when our so-called politicians come up with their half-baked ideas on the environment? I bet that you could count the number of energy-efficient lightbulbs in parliament on one hand. This small change alone would be a positive and simple start. Instead of which, we have bold statements on horrendously expensive schemes that our government has proven, time and time again that it lacks the skills to deliver.
